# About Gravity
Brokerage infrastructure for AI agents to invest on a customer's behalf, inside limits the customer sets and Gravity enforces.
## The problem we are built for
An agent can research a company, read the filing, and say exactly what to
buy — and then stop, because the only way to let it place the order is to
hand over a brokerage login built for one person acting for themselves.
## What we do instead
An agent receives its own account, funded by the customer, permitted to
make only the trades the customer switches on. Those limits are
enforced by Gravity on every action rather than trusted to the agent,
so an agent that is wrong or misled still cannot place an order outside
them.
## How the account is held
Gravity is a technology and control-plane provider. Brokerage accounts
introduced through Gravity are carried by its carrying firm, which holds
custody of cash and securities and owns the official records. No agent
can move money out of a customer account.
## What Gravity is not
Gravity is not an investment adviser and does not select, recommend, or
rank investments. The customer decides what they want, and decides what
their agent is allowed to do.
## What Gravity will not claim
The carrying firm is authoritative for execution, fills, clearing and
settlement. When Gravity cannot confirm something it says so rather than
reporting a result it does not have.
